February,2026

| Dear parents and students, |
| In February this year, students only need to attend school for 12 days only, because from Saturday, 14th February to Wednesday, 25th February is the Lunar New Year holiday. Although there are not many school days, there are still quite a few activities for students to participate in. |
| At the beginning of February, RTHK came to the school to film. What was the content? Let’s keep it a secret for now, and it will be announced when it is broadcasted later. On the same day, the Bright Smiles Mobile Classroom drove into the campus, and students were arranged to go onto the vehicle (mobile classroom) to learn about how to protect their teeth. Many students are afraid of seeing the dentist, but with this method, it is believed they will be a little braver. |

| The PE class of Class 5A was taught in English. This is because our school participated in the “English Rugby Learning Program” organized by the Language Society. Two rugby coaches explained rugby skills and rules in English. Students listened to the coaches’ English explanations while learning rugby techniques. It was a very meaningful activity. In addition, students wore the rugby uniforms provided, which made them even more engaged. |

| On Tuesday, 3rd February, in the afternoon, all students went to the school hall to attend a Chinese medicine sharing session. At first, teachers worried that students might not be interested in the topic. Unexpectedly, the lecturer explained in a simple yet interesting way, which made students very engaged. At the end, all students gave warm applause, praising the lecture as very wonderful. |

On the afternoon of 4th February, 1A students went to Tuen Mun Park for a Chinese writing activity. In our Chinese curriculum, we often give students opportunities to go out for visits, observe the situation on site, record important information, and then use this information back at school to help them complete writing. This is more effective. Therefore, going out for writing has already become a regular activity of our school. In addition, 3A students learned calligraphy in the language and culture lesson on 5th February, guided by an external teacher, ensuring effective learning of Chinese culture. |

On the morning of 6th February, our junior choral speaking team performed at a nearby kindergarten. Not only were there many onlookers, but our parents also came to cheer. |

To match the General Studies curriculum of P6, on the afternoon of 11th February, all P6 students were arranged to visit the Legislative Council building to learn about the history and operation of Hong Kong’s Legislative Council. Students could visit the place where legislators hold meetings and even tried role-playing. They suddenly became mature, acting as legislators holding meetings with everyone, which was very interesting. |

On the morning of 12th February, our senior and junior choral speaking teams went together to Central to perform at a carnival. Students were very happy upon arrival and hoped to stay and play at the carnival after the performance. This performance was very memorable for them. They told me the venue was very large, with many foreign tourists, which made them nervous. But seeing the lively atmosphere of the carnival, their nervousness eased—a very contradictory feeling. |

On 13th February (the day before the holiday), the school held the Chinese Culture Day. As usual, the event began with a lion dance performance by a friendly secondary school’s lion dance team in the playground. This time they brought three lions to perform. Not only were students engaged, but even passersby stopped to watch and take photos. Afterwards, each class returned to the classroom for cultural activities, such as paper cutting and making bronze bells. During this time, Mr. Lau dressed up as the God of Wealth, together with the principal and other senior teachers, visited classrooms to give New Year greetings and take photos. Later, students went to the school hall to enjoy a drama performance about how to effectively learn Mandarin. The final activity was held in the playground, where students wrote spring couplets, wore traditional clothing for photos, and joined different booths to make cultural crafts such as sachets, tea brewing, and knot making. The happiest part was that the PTA chairman and members made different Chinese pastries for students to taste. PTA chairman Mr. So made sugar pancakes, and teacher Ms. Lau made glutinous rice balls for charity sale. Of course, there were also lanterns painstakingly made by parents every year, and charity stalls provided by parents and teachers, which made this year’s donation amount rise significantly. |

On 26th February, the day after school resumed, the school held the school picnic. Originally, the school picnic was scheduled for September, but it was postponed to the 27th due to a typhoon. Fortunately, the venue was still available. The weather on the school picnic was very suitable—not too hot, not too cold, no rain, but also no sunshine. It was perfect for the trip. School picnic not only allowed students to interact and play with each other, but also to strengthen friendships with classmates and teachers. Students enjoyed picnicking on the grass and also joined camp activities such as cycling, archery, and rock climbing, which were more suitable for senior students. As for junior students, they were led and cared for by class teachers, exploring and learning around. As the saying goes, “stealing half a day of leisure,” not staying in the classroom does not mean no learning. The learning effect might even be better than in class, because learning in the relaxing, stress-free, green outdoors is exactly one of the experiential learning approaches our school promotes. In the end, students were reluctant to leave. |

At around 4:30 in the afternoon, our sponsoring body held the annual Lunar New Year gathering at the affiliated schools, bringing together staff from the four schools under the sponsoring body to celebrate the Lunar New Year. There was not only a lion dance performance, but also singing of New Year songs by the school, followed by enjoying delicacies. Most importantly, the chairman and board members distributed red packets to all staff. Everyone did not care about the amount of money, but appreciated the sponsoring body’s care, encouragement, and support, which gave all staff motivation to contribute to education in a joyful environment. |
